Shortlist now available for EUFCN’s European Film Location Award

The shortlist for EUFCN’s newly announced European Film Location Award is now available, celebrating the very best examples of European locations used by film and television productions.

European citizens have until October 25th to vote for their favourite of the finalists. Among the featured locations are Wroclaw (Bridge of Spies), Dubrovnik (Game of Thrones) and Vienna (Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation) amongst others. One voter will be given the chance to win a three-day trip to the winning location.

With Poland being one of the selected countries, Tomasz Dąbrowski of Film Commission Poland states: after preparing the nomination, we have closely collaborated with our colleagues from Wroclaw Film Commission, who helped the American filmmakers organise the production of Bridge of Spies in the capital of Lower Silesia. We are glad that the potential of Wroclaw has been noticed - it is a city that played other European cities on multiple occasions."

The award ceremony will be held at the European Parliament on November 7th.

The European Film Commissions Network was established to support Europe’s film offices and the local industry as a whole. The organisation will soon celebrate its 10th anniversary with a drinks reception at this year’s FOCUS event.

FOCUS is London’s only end of year event for the film, TV, advertising and interactive entertainment industries. Register your attendance today for free.
