The 2023 Breaking the Glass Ceiling programme was announced today in association with Bectu and support form the Mayor of London. Film London’s Equal Access Network (EAN) led programme will be spearheaded by co-founder and executive coach Jill Tandy along with head of Film London’s EAN Rebecca Baker. The programme will provide a group of 12 diverse mid level participants with critical leadership skills through mentorship and first hand experiences.

The BFI announced on Friday 20 January the instatement of independent producer Ama Ampadu as the new senior production and development executive for the BFI Film Fund. Replacing Kristin Irving, Ampadu will report to Natascha Warton, the Fund’s Head of Editorial, and work alongside Louise Ortega who joined as senior production and development executive last year, as well as editor-at-large Lizzie Francke.

The Arizona government has launched the Arizona Motion Picture Production Programme. It is the state’s largest annual film and television tax incentive to date. The legislature was passed in June 2022, but Governor Doug Ducey allowed the bill to become law, without signing it, on 6 July. The initiative is set to run until 2043.
