Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the company’s entrance into a strategic relationship with Fortnite developer Epic Games. The USD 1.5 billion investment according to Iger is the first step in creating a “huge Disney universe” in the world of games and entertainment.

Netflix released the trailer and first images for Zack Snyder’s first instalment of Rebel Moon. The space sci-fi film follows on from Snyder’s success with the streaming service with Army of the Dead. The feature, starring Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond actress Sofia Boutella, wrapped filming last December in California.

The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) is excited to announce the opening of Jordan’s first dedicated studio complex in its capital Amman. Jordan Studio features two purpose-built soundstages totalling 3,000 square meters, along with production offices, wardrobe, equipment storage, green rooms and more. In addition, a 68,000 square meter backlot has been built just 20 minutes away from Amman.

To support the show, the Victorian Government will invest AUD12.5 million towards creating a new, cutting-edge virtual production infrastructure at Docklands Studios Melbourne. The Australian Government is also backing this new studio development, supplying AUD5 million to train students to work with the state-of-the-art technology.
