Filmworks opens office in Abu Dhabi

Filmworks has opened an office in Abu Dhabi in a bid to expand the production of projects such as television commercials and documentaries and eventually content development throughout the city.

Tanya Wagner, an Executive Producer with Filmworks Abu Dhabi, said: “As a result of consistently investing in the development of infrastructure, the local film industry has grown tenfold and is now capable of crewing and casting a film with 80% local supply, as demonstrated on Filmworks’ latest feature film City of Life.”

The organisation will be working with twofour54 to develop a filmmaking infrastructure, train local crews and encourage Emirati filmmakers to pursue careers in the media.
