Film Rio-Rio Film Commission and Ile de France Film Commission form partnership

A new filmmaking partnership has been formed between Film Rio-Rio Film Commission (FR-RFC) and the Ile de France Film Commission. The agreement will promote audiovisual production in both regions through the availability of production services and co-productions.

The agreement was signed at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival. Olivier-René Veillon is Executive Director of Ile de France (Paris) Film Commission: “This new accord will benefit the film industries in both countries and offers a good way to enhance our relationship, as well as an affirmation of our mutual commitment and support to promote sustainable development in audiovisual production. The commissions will be able to exchange experiences and information as a means to support film producers.”

Steve Solot is President of FR-RFC: “This ceremony gives us the chance to strengthen our organisations’ relationship within a wonderful context - Rio has the attention of the whole world now, thanks to events such as the forthcoming World Cup and the Olympic Games, a trend which now also holds true for the audiovisual sector.”

Also present at the partnership signing was Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive Officer of Film London. The organisation has its own agreements with FR-RFC and Ile de France.
