Tom Cruise films All You Need Is Kill on location in London’s Trafalgar Square

Tom Cruise’s new sci-fi war movie All You Need Is Kill has filmed on location in London’s Trafalgar Square. The star was taken to the location by helicopter for the Sunday shoot that closed the square for several hours.

Erwin Stoff is a Producer on the film and spoke to the Evening Standard: "This was a really significant feat and has been a huge undertaking. We have had tremendous co-operation from the council and the Mayor's Office. London is a very film-friendly city."

Nigel Gale is Filming and Special Events Officer for Westminster Council and also spoke to the outlet: "This is another boundary being broken. Other than the Olympic Parade it is the only time closing the square has been attempted to this scale, to my knowledge."

All You Need Is Kill also closed The Strand, Whitehall and Northumberland in one of the biggest shoots to film on location in central London since Skyfall earlier this year.
