Steve Coogan films Alan Partridge movie on location on Norfolk pier

Comedy star Steve Coogan is filming a movie of his famous comedy character Alan Partridge on location on Cromer Pier in Norfolk on the east coast of England. Partridge is a tragically funny TV presenter and DJ who Coogan first played for BBC radio and TV in the early 90s.

“Norfolk has an absolutely distinctive landscape and we felt, especially with Cromer Pier (above), something that felt very unspoilt,” producer Kevin Loader told the BBC: “Norwich itself is a very distinctive city centre - obviously ancient and beautiful, but a very interesting mix now between new developments and the medieval lanes.”

The production is in the middle of a three-day location shoot in Cromer – scheduled to end tomorrow (26th February 2013) – that will involve the town’s pier, Jetty Cliff and the local Hotel de Paris, the outlet reports.
