Cannes Soiree Partner 2013: Advertising Producers Association
Advertising Producers Association (APA) has joined The Location Guide as a partner for our Soiree at the Cannes Lions Festival. The APA represents the interests of UK production companies in the commercials industry, through production, post-production and visual effects.
“The Location Guide Soiree is always great to be part of,” comments APA Chief Executive Steve Davies: “It’s held in a good place – the Majestic Pier – at a good time and as an international event it’s a very useful way to meet lots of interesting people.”
Beyond The Location Guide Soiree, the APA is primarily involved with Cannes Lions through the CFP-E (Commercial Film Producers – Europe). The World Producers Summit discusses challenges facing 100 production companies from more than 30 different countries.
The Location Guide Soiree is held in a good place – the Majestic Pier – at a good time and as an international event it’s a very useful way to meet lots of interesting people.

In addition, the Young Directors Award is run through the APA’s offices. Shortlisted films are screened and winners announced at an event that takes place in Cannes at the same time as the Lions festival.
The APA promotes the UK’s commercial filmmaking expertise through The Beak Street Bugle, which is read by 70,000 international agency creatives.
