India and China to explore co-production location filming agreement
India and China are to explore ways to set up a co-production location filming agreement between the two countries. The deal would likely include exchanging trained crew, as well as films and television projects.
“An audiovisual agreement would not only promote our shooting locations, but will also boost film-related tourism between the two countries and hence pave the way for a more vibrant people-to-people contact,” said India’s Minister for Information & Broadcasting Manish Tewari.
The news comes within days of the announcement of an initial co-production filming deal between China and South Korea.
