BBC police drama Line of Duty films on location in Northern Ireland
The second series of the BBC’s police corruption drama Line of Duty is coming to the end of location filming in Northern Ireland. Shooting has been based in Belfast for the past 16 weeks with the support of the Northern Ireland Screen Fund.
“I was thrilled by the success of series one,” said writer and executive producer Jed Mercurio, “and I'm hugely grateful for the opportunity to create another six hours of twists and turns as our returning investigators delve into a brand-new story of police corruption.”
The first series of Line of Duty was filmed on location in Birmingham in central England, but Northern Ireland’s production industry has grown since HBO series Game of Thrones took up residence in Belfast.
