The Location Guide sponsors AFCI Locations Show 2014 opening reception

The Location Guide is sponsoring the opening reception of the AFCI Locations Show 2014 in Los Angeles. Running on 27-29 March, the Locations Show is a major event in the international production calendar, offering seminars and networking opportunities.

This year the show moves to the Century Plaza Hyatt Regency in Beverly Hills. The location is on the Avenue of the Stars just down the road from Twentieth Century Fox, improving delegate access to the industry.

“AFCI (Association of Film Commissioners International) has also partnered with key organisations and guilds for a programme that’s nearly a week long and will give ample opportunity for commissions and filmmakers to have face-to-face conversations on what location is the best fit for their upcoming productions,” comments AFCI Executive Director Kevin Clark.

“This year’s seminar programme has also been strategically balanced to connect multiple markets of the industry, big and small. We have already announced an initial slate of programming including the return of the always popular financial incentives seminar, filming in extreme locations, diversity in production, pitching for television, local services in global production, and others.”

Added The Location Guide’s Publisher Jean-Frédéric Garcia: “We’re always excited to be involved with the AFCI Locations Show as it’s one of the biggest international production events. The seminars will help steer informed discussions on the main issues affecting the industry in 2014.”
