Camino Media launches Production Service Network for Europe commercial filming
Production company Camino Media has launched its Production Service Network (PSN) to facilitate commercial filming across multiple European territories. Officially launched at ADFEST 2014 in Thailand, the PSN comprises Camino Media’s partners in 12 different countries.
“We can share local production knowledge from across multiple countries at no extra cost to our clients,” explains Camino Media’s Managing Director and Partner Michael Moffett.
“Each of our partners is strategically positioned to deliver optimal results – cost and quality – for the right brief. But on a continent where production costs range from high to low it only makes sense to consider the client’s available budget as well as the local climate, locations and permitting, available cast, crew, equipment and more before recommending the top options.”
Moffett is aiming to be in a position where clients approach the Production Service Network when they want to shoot in a certain territory or when they're unsure of the best choice – the PSN currently has partner companies in Austria, the Balkans, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and the UK.

“Over time, we expect new and returning clients to increase the volume of requests we can help convert into successful bids for our clients,” Moffett adds: “In turn, that will boost business for our partners. It’s a win-win situation for our clients and partners.
“We anticipate PSN will grow organically in the same sustainable way on a need basis. Client requests are already encouraging us to expand beyond Europe. Our time at ADFEST and Dubai Lynx provided an ideal opportunity to explore expansion across Asia-Pacific and MENA in ways that hold promise for the future.”
Moffett goes on to say clients from outside Europe are “drawn” to the PSN’s depth of local knowledge in Europe, while the network can also help reveal more cost-effective filming options for companies less experienced in shooting on the continent.
“We surveyed the industry,” Moffett concludes, “and identified the need for global storytelling creatives to have a one-stop shop resource to provide a transparent assessment of where they can best deliver their brief within the available budget.”
