This Friday 12 April, Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black will make its premiere. Capturing the short lived career of the jazz singer, the film stars Marisa Abela as Winehouse. Capturing key London based settings that contributed to the life of the singer, filming took place on location at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, outside Winehouse’s first flat in Camden Town and at Primrose Hill.
Full service facility Martini Film has acquired Vancouver based production company Lighthouse Pictures. This acquisition is in line with their expansion into service and original production in film and television. The deal will keep the current Lighthouse leadership team at the helm of the company.

Post apocalyptic series Fallout which is set to debut on Prime Video, has announced that the second season will move to California for filming of it’s second season. Quentin Dupieux's latest film Le Deuxième Acte (The Second Act) is set to open the 77th edition of Festival de Cannes on 14 May 2024. The director, screenwriter and musicians comedy will premiere on the Croisette, presented Out of Competition. The four part comedy will be released in French cinemas on the same day.
The Production Guild of Great Britain announced today the instatement of Jonny Shelton as membership talent executive, based out of the north west of England. Shelton joins from his 6 year period working at Creative UK in film and HETV. In addition to his talent development role, the new hire will include overseeing PGGB’s inaugural membership mentoring scheme.
