Location Managers Guild of America announces nominations for 2015 awards

The Location Managers Guild of America has announced the nominations for its second annual awards show. Location professionals will spend the next few weeks voting and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in Beverly Hills on 7 March.

Gone Girl filmed in Missouri and Los Angeles and the movie’s Location Managers Rick Schuler and Steve Mapel are among those nominated for Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Film.

Tank movie Fury doubled the UK for World War Two Germany and Location Managers Russell Lodge and Lee Robertson are nominated for Outstanding Locations in a Period Film. The category also gives a nod to The Grand Budapest Hotel and its Location Manager Klaus Darrelmann, who helped secure a former shopping centre in eastern Germany for the film’s eponymous setting.
