Cannes Lions Location Beach Lounge Partner 2015: Happy Finish
Happy Finish represents digital artists and has joined The Location Guide as a partner for our Location Beach Lounge at the Cannes Lions Festival. The company was founded in 2004 by Chairman Stuart Waplington and Creative Directors Rainer Usselmann and Chris Roome.
The Location Beach Lounge is an exclusive decked beach space ideal for business meetings and networking. Visitors will have access to a dedicated bar and the Lounge will be open each week day from 10am to 5pm.
Happy Finish specialises in creative services including Retouching, Grading and CG Animation. The company has continued to grow and has become a Global Creative Production House with bases in London, Portland, Shanghai and Mumbai.
One of Happy Finish’s most recent products is the VR (Virtual Reality) Cricket experience. The product uses a Samsung Gear VR Headset and blends real video footage – filmed at Bourne End Cricket Club in Hertfordshire – with the interactivity of a computer game to enable users to get an idea of what it’s like to be a professional batsman.
“When you try VR and realise how immersive it is then the possibilities for it are endless," says Waplington: "We’re really in a situation that is perhaps as big as colour TV or the internet.
"We’re in a new paradigm. It’s an exciting time to be involved in this and it’s exciting to see what everyone’s coming up with”
The VR Cricket experience will be showcased at The Location Beach Lounge in Cannes.
