Canary Islands Film joins the 2017 Cannes Soirée
Canary Islands Film, the representative body for the major film commissions operating on all seven islands, will be partnering with The Location Guide for this year’s Soirée at the Cannes Lions Festival.
Concha Diaz of Canary Islands Film explains: “the spectacular natural beauty of the Spanish Canary Islands and a 35% tax incentive are making the islands a favourite of international film crews. We have a long tradition hosting great commercial productions and we want them to keep coming and enjoy working at 23ºC all year round. That’s why we are enthusiastic about promoting Canary Islands in Cannes. You can meet the film commissions and our production companies to know more about this paradise location.”
The Location Guide and Partners’ Soirée will return to this year’s Cannes Lions Festival but with a new venue – the Vegaluna beach! As one of the staple fringe events in Cannes, the Soirée offers a laid back, by-the-beach environment where you can network with creatives and production specialists from every corner of the world.
In addition to Canary Islands Film, the list of confirmed partners for the Cannes Soirée includes the Advertising Producers Association, Fresco Film Services and the Production Service Network (PSN).
