Ciclope returns to Berlin for 8th annual awards ceremony

Ciclope, the international festival of craft is set to return to Berlin on October 26th and 27th, marking the eighth iteration of the event. This year’s shortlist is now available, selected from over 1,000 entries from around the world.

Finalists have been divided into five categories: Brand Content (Short Form), Brand Content (Long Form), Music Videos, Fashion Films and Digital Craft.

The 2017 jury will be comprised of Robert Campbell (Founder of Outsider), Tanya LeSieur (Head of Production of MUH-TAY-ZIK), Matt Factor (President of Skunk), Sara Dunlop (Director at Rattling Stick) and Adrian Belina (Partner and EDC at Jam3).

Juan Maria Fernandez of Ciclope explains: “for this edition we have gathered an amazing line-up of speakers that includes professionals with very different backgrounds, who will be approaching very diverse topics. We’ll have more talks than in previous years, from renowned directors such as Tom Kuntz and Noam Murro to new talents like Jessy Moussallem; from VFX supervisors to talent consultants and production designers.”

He continues: “but the main idea is not only to understand what is going on in the industry, but also to start a dialogue and build bridges among the community. That’s why we are presenting The Agora, a new series of round tables where attendees can share views and discuss current issues. Since the festival’s first edition back in 2010, we’ve been setting the bar higher and higher each year. And we are pretty sure that’s what we’ll be doing next week in Berlin.”

The winners will be announced October 27^th, 7:45pm at Kino International.
