LS Productions shoot for EA Sports FIFA 19 campaign
Promotion for EA Sports highly anticipated FIFA 19 game stars footballers Kevin De Bruyne, Paulo Dybala and Neymar. LS productions serviced and produced the shoot.
The two-day shoot at London’s Big Sky Studios captured gaming assets, still shots and behind-the-scenes motion assets for social media. Renowned high-end sports and athlete photographer Rafael Astorga partnered with LS Productions and Lagardere Media Agency on the campaign”.
The vital imagery which will be used to market the game required extra attention to detail by the crew. Action shots of the footballers showing off their skills required AstroTurf and crash pads to be laid in the studio. The talent’s trainers and coaches were also on set to assist in capturing the perfect shots. Makeup artists applied reflective products to their faces to give talent a dewy, in-game complexion.
LS Productions have a lot of experience working with top footballers and sports talent. Abi Atkinson, Senior Producer at LS Productions says: “Athletes have demanding and strict schedules meaning the time they have on-set is often quite short, so it’s crucial to have a highly-skilled team and to be prepared”.
Before De Bruyne, Dybala and Neymar arrived the studio set up and body doubles did pre-light run-throughs before so that the team could be as efficient as possible on the day. Atkinson notes that “The motion elements of the shoot were actually a last-minute addition but, because we had a tight team in place, were able to accommodate this in just one day”. Andy Gillooley, Video Producer at EA Sports said of the experience “Great service, very professional, wonderful people” of the team.
LS are celebrating a successful year after opening an office in Manchester. The addition of a dedicated hub for shoots in the North of England has meant that the UK-wide full-service production company has been within easy reach of athletic talent based in the North, including Pogba and and Zlatan Ibrahimović.
The assets captured by LS Productions are part of a wider campaign used to market the game which was released in September.
