Makers & Shakers Awards launches to celebrate excellence in production
The Location Guide, makers and FOCUS have launched the Makers & Shakers Awards supported by Equals. The Makers & Shakers Awards celebrate excellence in the global creative screen industries and will shine a spotlight on significant ideas and initiatives from across the global screen content production support industry.
The awards are open to commercial, TV, film, animation and gaming sectors, the aim to recognise exceptional film commissions, government film liaison offices, studios, production services, facilities, support businesses and individuals that have provided innovative and impactful contributions to the international screen production sector.
Jean-Frederic Garcia, Managing Director of The Location Guide and FOCUS Event Director says, “We feel it is important to recognise the achievements of professionals who work tirelessly to facilitate and support the work of creatives. Traditional awards are fantastic at honouring the best creative work, but can overlook the achievements of professionals who pioneer change within the global industry. That’s how Makers & Shakers Awards was born: with the intention of celebrating exceptional work that’s being done on the ground all across the world”.
Makers and Shakers are delighted to support the awards. Ian Strafford-Taylor, CEO, Equals “Our ethos at Equals is to make money management simple by finding solutions to complex problems. We are delighted to partner with Makers & Shakers Awards to celebrate those in the creative industries who display the same level of ingenuity that is at the heart of our mission”.
