You jumps filming location to LA for second season

Binge-worthy psychological thriller You jumps coasts from New York to LA for its second series. The series was approved for California’s relocating TV series tax credit.

Penn Badgley (Easy A, Gossip Girl) returns for the second series to play Joe, an obsessive aspiring writer who manages a book shop. The first series saw him pursue a student at NYU. The second series picks up with Joe in LA, where a former girlfriend lives.

Both the first and second series are shot where they are set. The first series was set in Manhattan, New York and filmed on location in the city and around New York state. The second series followed in the same manner, filming in LA and California.

The series was approved for California’s 25% non-transferable tax credit for relocating TV series incentive, and allocated a USD6 million tax credit for the season filmed in California. The dedicated funding category for relocating TV series means that applicants considering moving production to California have greater certainty that tax credits will be available.

Under the California Tax Credit 2.0, sixteen television series have moved to California and approved for the credit including Ballers which relocated from Florida, Good Girls from Atlanta, Penny Dreadful from Ireland.
