Advertorial: Green Olive Films turns the focus to Greece & Cyprus: stunning locations with enticing filming incentives.
Known for idyllic beaches and quaint villages, Greece & Cyprus can also offer epic locations throughout the year, making it a versatile location destination for all types of productions.
Recognized as one of the leading production companies in the region, Green Olive Films provided production services for Jiu Jitsu, starring Nicholas Cage (pictured below); the first Hollywood Film to be shot in its entirety in Cyprus, and is now due to start prepping its second feature film from the USA this autumn.
Both Greece & Cyprus have introduced attractive film incentives; a cash rebate of up to 35% and tax credit for eligible applicants covering Feature Films, Documentaries and TV series. In Greece, the government has recently announced that it plans to increase the cash rebate from 35% to 40% and accelerate the application process to entire foreign investors in the near future.
With government directives and production protocols in place, productions have already resumed filming and the company provides a number of options for remote shooting where requested.
Recent work includes: Hollywood Martial Arts feature film Jiu Jitsu, starring Nicolas Cage • Amazon Prime documentary series The Giant Beast That Is the Global Economy starring Kal Penn • Netflix Documentary Series Abstract: The Art of Design (Plato) • National Geographic documentary film (release date 2020) • Numerous commercials, including the 2020 TUI Campaign for Camp David, directed by Oskar Wrängo; British Army Campaign for Anonymous, directed by Johnny Green and Estrella Damm for Agosto TV, directed by Nacho Gayan.
