APCP, ICEX and Alía unite for Meeting Lounge at Cannes Lions 2022

APCP, ICEX and Alía are joining forces to host a Meeting Lounge at Cannes Lions 2022. This new networking opportunity aims to bring advertisers, agencies, production companies and service companies together, promoting Spanish productions among both national and international clients. The Meeting Lounge is scheduled for 5:00pm on 21st June 2022 in Le Grand Hotel’s gardens.

“After two years, everyone is eager to meet, feel good, and hear about positive, cutting-edge topics,” says Adriana Piquet, APCP's Director General. “This is why this year we will be holding small talks where attendees can find out more about what our country has to offer. We want to offer the support of public institutions. We have the backing we need to make our talent known and not just sell sun and sand."

APCP (Spanish Association of Advertising Film Producers) represents advertising producers working across Spain. The group defends the economic and social interests of these producers while at the same time providing a helpful platform for communication and interaction.

ICEX (Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade) is a governmental agency that aims to promote and support the internationalisation of Spanish businesses, and Alía (Alliance for the Audiovisual Industry) is a non-profit advocacy group, working across public and private institutions to negotiate and improve Spain’s production pipeline.

Together, the host organisations want to nurture productive opportunities for the advertising sector at the Meeting Lounge. By positioning Spain as a key production destination in the international market, it is anticipated that fruitful business conversations will flourish at this new event.

“Having a presence at Cannes has really helped to put Spain on the advertising film map,” Piquet emphasises. “Increased governmental recognition of the local film industry's potential is helping Spain reach new heights. We are a strong market, not only thanks to the country’s excellent geographical features, but also because our technical team and equipment consistently operate at very high levels.”

The gardens of Le Grand Hotel are a mere 100 metres away from the Croisette’s stunning views. Le Grand Hotel’s tranquil garden spaces are surrounded by lush greenery, generating a relaxed atmosphere for networking and connecting. The organisers will shortly send out registration invitations via email at: register.lions@apcp.es.
