New York agency Big Spaceship expands to West Coast

New York-based creative agency Big Spaceship is expanding to the West Coast. The expansion means the company will be closer to long-term clients such as Starbucks. At the same time, the move is designed to support new business partnerships with the likes of Amazon. Managing Director Stacey Zimmerman will lead the expansion, having relocated to Seattle for the opportunity.

“I’m very proud of the growth Big Spaceship has continuously achieved–particularly over the past two years,” Zimmerman emphasises. “Creating a West Coast hub, expanding our capabilities and services, and building a more robust presence here feels like a natural next step for us. We're excited for what this proximity brings as we continue to work with clients on a range of interesting work and what this means for talent and our partners.”

“Our ability to collaborate – with colleagues, partners, and clients – has been a primary component of Big Spaceship’s success over the last 22 years,” elaborates Michael Lebowitz, Founder & CEO of Big Spaceship. “The strength of those connections allowed us to remain incredibly close despite the physical distance of the last few years. And it will underpin our efforts as we extend our presence West. The last few years have, in many ways, forced organisations to rethink how they approach their business and people, and our focus on progress is incredibly well suited to their changing needs.”

The expansion to the West arrives amid more than 40% revenue growth for the organisation over the last year. Big Spaceship has recently solidified business partnerships with JPMorganChase, PepsiCo’s Evolve, Amazon ad Tia.

The agency has already hired 10 cross-discipline staff on the West Coast. The new location will serve as an extension of their New York office - and Big Spaceship will continue to work as a single, unified team.
