ITVX series Riches comes to Prime Video

Following an exclusive screening at Culture Con NYC on 8 October 2022, Amazon released the artwork and trailer for their new show Riches. First premiered in the UK on ITVX, the six-part drama from screenwriter Abby Ajayi. Is set for release on 2 December 2022.

 

 

Filled with glamorous lifestyles and overwhelming opulence, Riches follows the life of the successful Richards Family. However, following the death of the father of the household Stephen Richards, played by Hugh Quarshie, the family structure comes crumbling down. Desperate for control over the business left behind, his children clamour to the top, exhibiting betrayal along the way.

 

 

Commissioned by ITV, the series is a production by Greenacre Films in association with Monumental Television. Amazon Studios is co-producing in the US, Canada, Australia, new Zealand, Nordics and Sub-Saharan Africa.

 

 

Executive producers for Greenacre include Nadine Marsh-Edwards form Unsaid Stories and Been So Long, The Girl’s Amanda Jenks, and How to Get Away with Murder and Inventing Anna’s Ajayi. Those of Monumental Television include Alison Owen, previously involved with Ghosts, Harlot and Murder in Provence and Alison Carpenter also involved with Ghosts, Harlot, as well as Yonderland

 

 

Other stars include Deborah Ayorinde from Them and Truth Be Told, Sarah Niles of Ted Lasso and I May Destroy You, Adeyinka Akinrinade of Top Boy and Temple, Granchester and The A List’s Nneka Okoye and Emmanuel Imani from Cobra and Black Earth Rising.
