Daniel Finn newly elected to LMGI board of directors
The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) announced the instatement of Los Angeles location professional Daniel Finn to their board of directors on 9 May. Finn will serve alongside 14 returning members. The board of directors meeting conducted on 7 May also say the confirmation of the 2023 executive committee which sees John rakich returning as president.
President John Rakich states, "I am again honored that the board of directors have trusted me to continue leading the LMGI. As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, I look forward to working with this board of dedicated international location professionals to continue our growth. Together we will carry on the foundation for another 20 more years of showing the world who and what we are, not only as indispensable creative collaborators but also as proven leaders and trailblazers on a global level."
Award winning location professional Daniel Finn (CA) will serve on the board alongside Jimmy Ayoub (NY), Ken Brooker (Canada), Dan Connolly (UK), Mac Gordon (GA), Eric Klein (NY), Angus Ledgerwood (UK), Edward Mazurek (CA), David McKinney (CA), Robin Macdonald (Canada), John Rakich (Canada), Ryan Schaetzle (GA), Lisa Scope (AUS), Alison A. Taylor (CA) and Scott Trimble (CA).
Said Election Committee Chair, Edward Mazurek, “With eight open board seats and 12 excellent candidates, the 2023 election results, once again, tallied the most votes in LMGI history. This is a testament to our nominees' professionalism and superb reputations, as well as the engagement of our membership. Congratulations to our elected 2023 Board Members."
Ending his eight years as treasurer for the board, Ken Brooker will be retiring from his role, with vice president Alison Taylor stating that he will be “greatly missed” by all who have worked with him for his time there.
