Film AlUla and Stamped Ventures announce new projects for production deal

As part of their 10 project production deal, Film AlUla and Stampede Venture announced the first two films set for release at this year’s Red Sea International Film Festival. Set to start production in the second quarter of 2024, the two projects will be thriller Fourth Wall and romance Chasing Red. The production partnership will spread across three years.

 

“These two productions will create economic and creative opportunities for the people of AlUla,” sated Charlene Deleon Jones, executive director for Film AlUla. “Film AlUla is committed to diversifying the economy and nurturing home-grown talent in collaboration with valued partners such as Stampede Ventures. This opportunity will generate a wide array of training and employment prospects for local residents by introducing experts to oversee mentoring programs.”

Thriller Fourth Wall will unravel the story of former sitcom child star who wakes after a kidnapping on a complete recreation of the show’s set. Recreating key moments from the series, she must work through her past traumas to stay alive and escape. Founder and CEO of Stampede Ventured Greg Silverman serves as producer on the film alongside Jon Berg, as well as Gideon Yu, Chris Bosco, Mike Tadross and Grant Torre who will act as executive producers.

 

Chasing Red will follow the journey of straight A student Veronica and playboy Caleb, an unlikely match, brought together through unexpected circumstances. Adapted from the book by Isabelle Ronin, the upcoming film will be directed by Jessika Borsiczky, with Silverman and Berg as producer and Yu, Bosco, Tadross and Torre as executive producers.
