Supply 2 Location to expand operations in NEOM
UK based Supply 2 Location (S2L), announced yesterday their new international division and first regional expansion into NEOM, Saudi Arabia in early 2024. Building on their UK based regional depots, S2L’s Middle Eastern expansion solidifies its international presence, and improves accessibility for a global market. S2L’s current managing director Ian Pearce will take on the role as international CEO.
“Over recent years, our international requests for location support have increased, and we have contributed to significant projects for clients in Malta, Italy, Namibia, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Iceland, Morocco, Dubai and the Canary Islands,” stated Pearce. “From early 2024, our new international division means our expanded group will be better positioned to handle increased enquiries across Europe and the Middle East as film and HETV production grows across these regions.”
NEOM is a rapidly growing industry, already setting the stage for two feature films, Desert Warrior, staring Marvel’s Anthony Mackie, and their locally created Within Sand. Offering new filming landscapes, the country provides a breadth of natural backdrops from deserts to mountains, and even coastal stretches. S2L’s presence in NEOM will provide greater filming opportunities for its roster of clients, and newer ones to join.
S2L Group’s CEO, James Williams, said: “Opening our first international office in NEOM is a major milestone in S2L Group’s future plans. It will help us meet the needs of our international clients in a location which we believe will become one of the epicentres of the global film-making business.”
S2L’s 13 year presence has contributed to the provision of location services and logistics for the creative sectors, as well as delivering infrastructure for film and broadcast productions. The company currentl has regional depots across the UK, covering Eastern and Western London, Scotland, the Northern region, Midlands, Wales and South West. Most recently, the company have established an engineering division, contributing to better sustainability through generator refurbishing and upgrading them.
