Madam Films partners with Leukaemia UK for their first TV commercial

UK and Menorca based production company MADAM Films has partnered with Leukaemia UK  for their first TV commercial titled Thank You. Created by 11 Agency and directed by Ray Moody, the commercial highlights the effects of charitable giving and raises awareness for the cause. The one day shoot took place on West Whittering beach in the UK with trainees involved on the set sourced from the local area.

Featuring the perspectives of two lead characters and their personal experiences with Leukaemia, the commercial touches on the effects of the condition across generations. Filmed on West Whittering Beach, MADAM made the conscious effort to source local trainees from the area in accordance with the APA x BECTU Diversity Action Plan and the company’s own DE&I targets. Led by agency 11 London, the project enlisted the help of creative director Steve Broadhurst with Ray Moody at the directorial helm.

Sarah Weber, head of public fundraising at Leukaemia UK says: ‘It’s been a pleasure to work with MADAM Films and 11 Agency on our first ever television commercial. Every day 27 people, of all ages across the UK, hear the news that they have leukaemia. At Leukaemia UK we believe that with research, we can change this. Through accelerating progress in diagnosis, treatment and care we can help to bring about positive change, both for those living with leukaemia today and for those diagnosed tomorrow. We hope that the vital funds raised by this advert will help to find and fund the life-changing research that matters most for those affected.”

Director Ray Moody says, “Being able to support my client, 11 Agency, with the experience MADAM brings to production was a fitting choice for me considering the importance of this project. It was a great process that we’re all proud of”.
