Martini Film Studios acquires Lighthouse Pictures
Full service facility Martini Film has acquired Vancouver based production company Lighthouse Pictures. This acquisition is in line with their expansion into service and original production in film and television. The deal will keep the current Lighthouse leadership team at the helm of the company.

“Over recent years, I have witnessed the great reputation and success that Jamie and Shawn have built with Lighthouse Pictures and the quality of their work. We have had the pleasure of working closely with their teams, hosting many of their productions at our production facilities and backlot,” said Gemma Martini.
Lighthouse Pictures, based in Vancouver, is co-founded by Emmy-nominated producer Shawn Williamson ( Good Doctor, Upload, Firefly Lane) and Canadian production veteran Jamie Goehring (Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart, Three Wise Men and a Baby, Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance). Specialising In producing genre film and television projects for networks and platforms such as Halmlark, A&E/Lifetime, Marvista, Netflix, Disney, Sony, GAF and CBS Viacom, the company have contributed to over 250 projects in the last 10 years. These include Nebraska from Academy Award-nominated writer Bob Nelson , The Confirmation, and Netflix’s 1922.

Alongside this deal with the Martini team, we’re also committed to developing and producing our own IP for the international stage.”
Gemma Martini said: “The opportunity to acquire a majority stake in Lighthouse has come at a time where we are growing our own production activity and the Martini brand. In 2020, we launched the Martini Entertainment Group, with George Patterson and David Shepheard and have since built a robust slate of original and co-produced IP. I look forward to working with Jamie and the Lighthouse team to help produce some of our new shows and expanding the business together here in Canada and in other markets.”
Founded in 2017, Martini Film Studios, led by Gemma Martini , is also based in Vancouver. The film and television full service studios welcomed Netflix to their facilities soon after the opening, in a five year agreement to become the lead tenant of the studios. Since then, the agreement has been extended for another five years, as well as welcoming Warner Bros, ITV, CBS and independent features.
