We will be at the 77th Festival de Cannes this week. From networking to screenings, a multitude of events and everything in between, this year is sure to bring its usual flare and a little extra on top. After a successful 2023, our team behind FOCUS, makers magazine and thelocationguide.com will return to the Marché du Film at stand Palais-1 #1300. We'd love to meet you there to discuss all the ways we can help connect you with the global screen industries.
During the day, the Palais and surrounding areas will be a hive of activity as the Marché du Film opens from 9am to 6pm for an international gathering of industry professionals. With 70 conferences on the schedule, the Marché du Film will welcome a host of creative leaders including Roman Coppola from American Zoetrope, Netflix’s Sara May, and Marc Petit of Unreal Engine and Epic Games, as well as many others leading some thought provoking panels.
Over the years, Festival de Cannes has shown how they have kept their ear to the ground of all the latest developments of the industry. Cannes Next exemplifies just that, tapping into the latest conversations on AI, newest developments in other technologies, the upcoming regions making moves and the need to knows of funding and financing. As immersive media begins to ramp up this year, the Festival de Cannes is offering its platform to further this exploration of this new era of storytelling. The Immersive Competition will feature 8 co-produced projects from regions including France, Taiwan, Canada, Sweden, Romania, the UK, United States, Denmark, and Luxembourg.
Both in an out of competition, the lineup of features to take the stage of the many screens of Cannes are sure to captivate all audiences. In usual fashion, the festival will present a variety of projects from blockbuster to short films from filmmakers across the globe. Whilst the Palais will be a point of focus for the star studded red carpets, Cinéma de la plage 2024 welcomes audiences again to the screen under the stars for open air viewing of many anticipated projects.
