To commemorate the celebrations, the awarding will commence with a breakfast sponsored by long-time partner shots followed by the screening of the winners at 10:30 am. The EUR 20 ticket gives attendees the opportunity to view the boundary pushing projects from the winning creatives across the world. Awarded across Bronze, Silver and Gold categories, the short filmed productions range from comedy, music and drama. The festivities will conclude with a beach party at 7:30pm in collaboration with the German Beach by Weischer.

For the 27th edition of the YDA, a jury of expert screen professionals have been enlisted to make the toughest decision. Faced with a record number of entrants, the panel consisting of directors, production companies and agencies have been tasked with having to sift through a diverse range of creatives, selecting who deserves to come out on top. The Jury is made up of 41 individuals across North and South America, EMEA and Asia Pacific. Joint managing director, partner and executive producer at Academy Films London Medb Riordan will chair this year’s jury.

“There is always a generation of new talent coming through, and that’s in the title of the company; Academy,” Riordan commented on her selection and responsibility. “It’s in our DNA, so it’s in my DNA. So, getting an opportunity to support the next generation, and also to understand what’s being made was really key. Not only is it exciting for us to be able to find that upcoming generation of talent, but for them to teach us about what’s happening next.
