Prime Video announces first Thai Amazon Original film
Prime Video have announced their first Thai Amazon Original film, Love Stuck, starring top Thai talents Teeradon Supapunpinyo (James) and Plearnpichaya Komalarajun (Juné). Produced by Amazon Studios in association with Benetone Films, the film is a remake of Prime Video project The Map of Tiny Perfect Things. Love Stuck will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in Thailand and over 240 countries by the end of 2024.
“We are thrilled to announce that our first Thai Amazon Original film, Love Stuck, will soon be available for Prime Video customers in Thailand as well as in over 240 countries and territories,” said James Farrell, VP of International Originals, Amazon MGM Studios. “Featuring a funny, heart-warming and meaningful story that transcends time, along with a brilliant cast, we can’t wait for audiences to experience the story of Toy and Vee. We hope this film will entertain Prime Video audiences not only in Thailand but also around the world.”
“Love Stuck is a delightful time-loop film that seamlessly blends romance, comedy, fantasy, and drama—a unique flavour of Thai cinema we're excited for everyone to savour,” said Director Chongdol Sukulworaphat. “Collaborating with Prime Video has been an absolute honour. Our team poured their hearts into this project, and our talented cast brought each character to life with charm and dedication. This film will not only bring smiles and laughter to audiences but also warm their hearts, reminding them of the importance of relationships in life.”
Love Stuck, directed by Chongdol Sukulworaphat, is a romantic comedy following Toy (James) and Vee (Juné) as they find themselves stuck in a time loop. As they map out tiny, yet significant events of the same day, they learn the importance of cherishing every moment. Leading the cast are renowned Thai talents, Teeradon Supapunpinyo (Bad Genius, Thirteen Lives) and Plearnpichaya Komalarajun (OMG! Oh My Girl, Bad Genius: The Series). The film also features Thitiya Jirapornsilp (You & Me & Me, Not Friends), Sanya Kunakorn (One Year, How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies), Grace Mahadumrongkul (King Naresuan), and Monthapoom Sumonvarangkul.
