Film London strengthens leadership with new board appointments
Film London, the capital’s screen industries agency, has announced the appointment of four distinguished professionals to its Board of Directors. Jane Moore, Priya Sahathevan, Vicky Stanbury, and Natalie Usher join as charitable trustees, bringing a wealth of expertise across international film production, legal services, technology, and public sector regulation.

As London continues to thrive as a global hub for film and television, these strategic appointments signal Film London’s commitment to navigating the industry's evolving landscape. Each of the new board members has played a pivotal role in shaping the creative sector, from legal strategy and regulatory frameworks to content production and film archiving.
Adrian Wootton OBE, Chief Executive of Film London, expressed enthusiasm about the new appointments:

These appointments come as Film London bids farewell to outgoing board members Geraldine Atlee, Jeff Jacobs, Judith Chan, and Frances Trought, who completed their tenures at the end of 2024. Their contributions have played a crucial role in Film London’s growth and influence over the past years.
Jane Moore – A Driving Force in Film Production
As CEO of Vertigo Films, Jane Moore has led one of the UK’s most successful film and television production companies. With a background in film financing and distribution, her expertise will help Film London foster new collaborations and expand London’s international reach. Moore expressed her excitement, saying: "Joining the Board of Film London is an incredible opportunity to help shape the future of one of the most exciting and influential creative industries in the world. I’m proud to be part of a team that’s committed to pushing boundaries and amplifying diverse voices."
Priya Sahathevan – A Legal and Strategic Visionary
With extensive experience in media law and commercial strategy, Priya Sahathevan has been instrumental in shaping legal frameworks for the creative industries. Her previous roles include Senior Legal Executive at Sky, where she helped navigate billion-dollar deals and reshape content distribution models. Now researching AI-driven commercial models at Oxford University, Sahathevan brings critical insight into the intersection of technology and creative rights.
"Film London plays a crucial role in future-proofing the industry. I look forward to supporting its work during this transformative period for investment, talent development, and AI innovation," she said.
Vicky Stanbury – Champion of Film Heritage and Commercial Innovation
As Executive Director of Commercial & Operations at the Imperial War Museums (IWM), Vicky Stanbury oversees film archiving, location filming, and historical content consultancy. Her background as a film and TV lawyer and her leadership in the cultural sector will enhance Film London’s commercial and archival initiatives.
"London’s screen industries are vital to the UK’s creative economy. I’m excited to contribute to Film London’s efforts in talent development and heritage preservation while supporting its commercial ambitions," she commented.
Natalie Usher – A Legal and Policy Expert in Film & TV
With over 25 years in film and television legal consultancy, Natalie Usher has worked across both commercial and public sectors. From her time at the UK Film Council to leading Creative Scotland’s film initiatives, Usher has consistently championed independent filmmakers and policy development.
"London is the beating heart of the UK’s screen industries. It’s an honour to join Film London at such a pivotal moment as we look towards 2030 and continue to shape the future of film and TV in the capital," she stated.
