Kaye Elliott Named New CEO of The Production Guild of Great Britain

The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) has appointed industry leader Kaye Elliott as its new CEO, effective 16 July 2025. A respected figure in high-end television, Elliott brings a wealth of experience from her role at ScreenSkills. Her appointment marks a new chapter for PGGB as it aims to strengthen its position in UK production, balancing its film heritage with a bold vision for the future of high-end TV.

The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) has announced the appointment of Kaye Elliott as its new Chief Executive Officer, set to take up the role on 16th July 2025. With a strong legacy in shaping UK high-end television (HETV) skills and talent development, Elliott’s arrival signals a dynamic new era for PGGB as it looks to deepen its impact across both film and television production.

Elliott brings an impressive pedigree to the Guild, having served as Director of High-End Television at ScreenSkills. In that position, she was instrumental in designing the strategic direction for skills investment across the UK HETV sector, working closely with freelance professionals, production companies, and key industry stakeholders. Her leadership has been widely credited with strengthening the talent pipeline for some of the country’s most ambitious television productions.

The move follows the departure of former CEO Lyndsay Duthie in January 2025. Since then, Deputy CEO Michael Beavan has steered the organisation as interim CEO. Beavan welcomed Elliott’s appointment with enthusiasm: “Kaye has an impressive track record and is both respected and well-known in the field of HETV. The vision she brings as new CEO will help shape PGGB’s continued growth and development and create a healthy balance between its roots in film with the vital role HETV plays in our future production landscape.”

PGGB chair Bianca Gavin echoed the sentiment, calling Elliott “the perfect fit” for the role. “Her exceptional leadership, vision, and industry insight make her the perfect fit for this role. Kaye's strong commitment to championing UK industry talent aligns perfectly with our mission and ethos,” Gavin said. “We are excited for her to lead the organisation into the future.”

In her previous role at ScreenSkills, Elliott reported directly to the High-End TV Council, which includes all UK broadcasters and streamers, alongside representatives from independent production companies, Pact, and Bectu. Her prior positions include Deputy Director of Partnerships and Head of Production Services at Creative England, reinforcing her broad experience across the media landscape.

Speaking on her new role, Elliott expressed enthusiasm and purpose. “I’m honoured to be stepping into the role of CEO at The Production Guild of Great Britain at a time of both opportunity and change for the industry,” she said. “The Guild’s members are its greatest asset—skilled, experienced professionals who underpin the success of UK production. This next chapter will be shaped by their insight and ambition. I’m excited and committed to bring my passion for the industry and work with the team and the Board to build on the Guild’s strong foundations to grow and strategically support its members, influence policy, and ultimately strengthen the UK’s global production leadership.”

As PGGB prepares for this pivotal leadership transition, industry observers will be watching closely to see how Elliott’s strategic approach continues to elevate Britain’s status as a powerhouse of global production.
