LJ Johnson joins Hungry Man productions

Minneapolis writer and director LJ Johnson was added to Hungry Man’s roster of talent on 3 October 2022. Johnson will serve as worldwide representative spanning commercials and branded content.

With bases in New York, Los Angeles, London and Brazil, Hungry Man’s long list of production talents has an international reach. Adding to such, Johnson will be bringing her past experiences with Minneapolis based production company Current Resident.

“LJ is a gifted storyteller and filmmaker,” said Hungry Man partner Mino Jarjoura. “Her comedic instincts, which are subtle and smart, blend perfectly with her cinematic eye. She’s got the instincts, talent, and drive to be a superstar. We’re incredibly excited to be her partner moving forward.”

Johnson’s past work include her latest stint with Lays Potato Chips, a project under ad agency High Dive. The Commercial Directors Diversity Programme (CDDP) are one amongst many who have recognised the creative’s talent, selecting her for this year’s recognition, out of 700 applicants.

The recently added Hungry Man director has an affinity for working with actors, lending her hand to many commercial projects and music videos, such as Pony Bear productions short film The Rug.

Hungry Man, founded by Hank Perlman and Bryan Buckley, has been a creative industry staple. With Hank known for his spearheading of ESPN’s 20 year long This is Sportscentre campaign, those involved with the company aim to achieve such a legacy.
