Omnifilm Entertainment expand their executive team

Omnifilm Entertainment announced the addition of two new professionals to their team on 17 October 2022. In an effort to ramp up physical production capacities, the company will bring on Nicole Shizuka Oguchi as head of physical production and Phil Klapwyk as business development executive.

 

“We’re excited to be building our physical production capacities with the combined skills, knowledge and experience that Nicole and Phil bring to the table,” said Omnifilm partner Brian Hamilton. “With Omnifilm’s solid track record in production to date, today the company is poised to capitalize on a heightened value proposition that meets the demands of projects of any size and scope,” Hamilton added.

 

 

Nicole Shizuka Oguchi first gained producer’s credit for her award-winning thesis 35mm film, Road Movie (Working Title), which was then sold to CBC in collaboration with her co-producers. From then on, Oguchi has amassed more than two decades worth of experience across the spectrum of physical production. As a seasoned film and television unit production manager and line producer, the Vancouver native has worked on high profile feature projects including Steven Spielberg’s The BFG and Tim Burton’s Big Eyes

 

 

Prior to joining the Omnifilm family, Phil Klapwyk was known for his leadership at IATSE 891 for the past seven years. Starting his career in large scale live theatre and corporate events in the early 90’s, Klapwyk swiftly moved on to British Columbia’s growing film and television industry. With a reputation for technical expertise and logistical thinking, he found himself working on feature films, television series and commercials

The company have produced a number of series and films for US studios including Disney, A&E, Fox TV and Netflix.
