Titles announced for 53rd International Film Festival of India

15 titles have been selected for this year’s International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Films included are festival favourites such as Maha Haj’s Mediterranean Fever and Lav Diaz’s When the Wave are Gone, along with international picks such as Polish Diretor Krzysztof Zanussi’s Perfect Number. Organised by India’s National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), the festival will take place in Panjim, Goa from 20 to 28 November 2022.

India’s filmic heritage is longstanding. With the legacy of Bollywood as well as talents thriving outside of the genre, India’s contribution to film production is undoubtable. The return of the IFFI is just another confirmation of the country’s dedication to the visual sector. With 12 international titles selected to be recognised at this year’s festival and an additional three of Indian origin, the productions on display will represent a diverse array of filmmakers as well as showcasing the local talents emerging from India.
