Wales Committee members announced for the PGGB

The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) announced today the members of its Wales Committee. Sponsored by Facilities by ADF. the Welsh branch marks the fourth out of the six national and regional committees planned. Paramount+’s Sexy Beast line producer Edward Rastelli-Lewis will chair the new committee.

 

Line Producer Edward Rastelli-Lewis says: “I’m really pleased to be chairing the Production Guild’s newly established Wales Committee. The crew, studios and facilities we have in Wales are second to none, and the calibre of international film and High-End TV titles being made here is evidence of the strength of Wales’ screen sector right now. I look forward to working with the Guild to ensure that the interests and needs of the Welsh production workforce are fully represented and advocated for in the nationwide context.”

Rastelli-Lewis’ previous experiences include production management on major dramas including BBC Two’s The North Water, His Dark Materials, an HBO Max and BBC One production, and 2021 feature Morbius. Vice chair position will be held by Allison Dowell, managing director of Screen Alliance Wales, and Line Producer Kathy Nettleship, known for her work on Willow and A Discovery of Witches. Other committee members include CEO at Mad Dog 2020 Casting Graham Beswick, Centtrip chief product officer Sarah Gooding and production accountant on Sanditon and Industry Mark Strange.

 

“Regardless of the numerous challenges facing the Welsh production industry, it continues to excel, and for that, we are delighted to be the supporting partners of the newly formed Wales Committee,” commented  Beswick. “We're excited to champion and support the interests and needs of the Welsh production industry members.”

 

The Welsh committee follows the Bristol and South West England launch in September 2021, the Northern Ireland committee launched in May 2022 and the North West England branch in September 2022. In the coming months, Scotland and Yorkshire are set to have their branches opened. All location have been chosen in line with the British Film Commission’s Stage Speech Support Development hub centres.

With a variety on offer including forums, masterclasses and networking events, each committee will meet a minimum of four times per year. The Chair and CEO will meet with the six national and regional committee chairs annually in a steering group. Made up of 1050 members and more than 150 company affiliates, the PGGB offers members industry advice, employment opportunities, training, networking and seminars.
