FIFTH SEASON expands their EMEA television distribution team

FIFTH SEASON  has announced the appointment of Jennifer Ebell to an expanded role of EVP EMEA Sales. This is a promotion from her previous role as SVP of EMEA Sales. In addition to this, the company has also acquired new hires from BBC Studios, The Walt Disney Studios., ITV Studios and Vubiquity. These changes are apart of FIFTH SEASON’S expansion of their EMEA television distribution team, following on from the recent promotion of president of television distribution, Prentis Fraser.

 

“Jennifer is an incredibly talented executive in the Television business and a star leader within the FIFTH SEASON organisation,” commented Fraser. “I’m so impressed with the work she’s done and the team she’s built over the past few years here and happy to be able to acknowledge her contributions with this expanded role. It’s always a pleasure to be able to promote from within, and it’s exciting to bring in new talent as well to develop business lines for us as we continue to grow and evolve our next-generation distribution business around the world.”

 

In her new role, Ebell will oversee the London branch of the acquisition team led by Liz Tang. Tang was recently promoted from her role as director of content to executive director of acquisitions. In January, Ava Mustos also joined the team as associate director of acquisitions form BBC Studios. Fabio Tinchant was also promoted, moving from his previous role as executive director of sales for French, Europe, CEE, MENA and Turkey to VP of Sales for the same markets.

 

Also joining the team is Maria Grazia Ursino, based in Rome. She will take on the role of director of Southern Europe. Simon Algie has also been brought on to the team, appointed as executive director of digital sales and taking the lead on FIFTH SEASON’S expanding into AVOD/FAST exploitation and digital business. Moving from director of sales for the Nordics, Benelux and Ireland to executive director for the same markets, Ann Schröder will be joining the team along with Kaia Roemer who joins as senior sales manager for Germany and CEE.

FIFTH SEASON has a slate of critically acclaimed programming including Emmy-winning Severance, upcoming Jack Throne BBC Drama Best Interests, crime drama Tokyo Vice, originally commissioned by HBO Max in the US, Nordic dramas Headhunters and The Congregation from TV4 and C More, The Morning Show,  Fulwell 73’s high-end reality show Blowing LA, Made Up Stories’ first unscripted series, Undressed With Kathryn Eisman and their romantic dramedy Wolf Like Me, and Lightbox’s premium limited docuseries Spector and Curse of the Chippendales.
