Netflix is bringing its global hit Squid Game back to life. The streamer has confirmed that it will transform the show into a new reality series named Squid Game: The Challenge. 456 real players will enter the challenge, pursuing a prize of USD4.56 million. The 10-episode competition series, which will be filmed in the UK, marks the largest cast and lump sum cash prize in a reality television history.

The Lazarus Project, a new Sky Original drama starring Emmy and BAFTA-nominated actor Paapa Essiedu, has aired on Sky Max. The project shot in Bristol last year with support from the city’s Film Office. The show was produced by Urban Myth Films in association with Sky Studios, and parts of the project were also filmed in London and Wales.

The BFI has announced that Clare Baines will act as their new Disability Equality Lead. This newly-created role is designed to further the BFI’s ambitions to promote disability and equality internally at the BFI as well the screen industries more broadly. Baines will be responsible for driving the BFI’s strategic aims forward. Reporting to the BFI’s Head of Inclusion Melanie Hoyes, Baines will become a key member of the organisation’s Inclusion Team.

The UK Music Video Awards 2022 (UKMVAs) is now open for entries. Back for its 15th annual event, the competition is accepting work accomplished in the UK and around world over the last year. Entrants can submit their music videos via the official website at: www.ukmva.com. The deadline is set for August 3rd 2022 and the ceremony will take place on October 27th 2022 at Magazine London, near North Greenwich’s 02 Arena.

The project combines imagery of the retailer’s food range with people enjoying life and making the most of their local community. The 40 second spot launched on Wednesday June 15th 2022 and the hero 60 debuts on Friday 17th  during a Channel 4 Gogglebox break.
