Creative England arranges film crew networking events across England

Creative England is arranging a series of networking events in production hubs across England. The sessions are intended to give filming professionals the opportunity to add to their list of contacts and to increase nationwide awareness of England’s filming infrastructure.

Industry professionals from both drama and documentary backgrounds in TV and digital media are invited to attend. Events have already been held in Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol, with Manchester, Nottingham, Brighton and Sheffield scheduled between now and July.

Everyone from a production company that’s crewing up to a freelancer who’s looking to find out what’s going on in the industry can come along and network.

Kaye Elliott is Head of Location and Production Services at Creative England: “Not only do they offer cross-sector opportunities, but they’re also useful for anyone who wants to get noticed and get work. Everyone from a production company that’s crewing up to a freelancer who’s looking to find out what’s going on in the industry can come along and network.

“And of course, they’re also a chance for people to come and find out more about Creative England and the opportunities we’ve got available.”

Creative England was launched in the autumn of 2011 as a means of offering regional production support for projects filming in England but outside London. It’s broadly intended to replace the UK Film Council.
