Cannes Soirée Partner: Fresco Film

The Location Guide will be running a Soirée at the Cannes Lions Festival and one of our partners will be Spanish servicing company Fresco Film. This is a particularly special festival for Fresco as the company is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

Fresco was set up in 1972 as Iberpro/Iberfilm, originally as a small studio facility near Malaga in Spain, and it was one of the country’s first production service companies. The name changed in 2006 and the company has since expanded to offices in Barcelona and in the Portuguese capital Lisbon.

Peter Welter Soler is a Service Producer with Fresco: “Cannes Lions is such an important event in the advertising calendar. It’s a focal point for the entire industry and it’s a great opportunity to maintain old contacts and get new ones.

“It’s all about networking and making people aware of the production possibilities in Spain. The advertising industry has a short memory and there are sometimes quick turnovers in production companies. As a result it’s important to get to know new staff members at older firms.”

Fresco specialises in all kinds of audiovisual production, from features and commercials through to stills and TV shows. It also caters for all stages of the production process, from initial location scouting all the way to grading in the edit suite.

Cannes Lions is a focal point for the entire industry and it’s a great opportunity to maintain old contacts and get new ones.

Fresco’s list of clients and collaborators over the years – with Ridley and Tony Scott, Pavel Loungin and Nikolay Lebedev among them – only confirms their experience and pedigree.
