The Location Guide: Update

This month has seen the publication of our brand new 2011 guide. Totally revamped and printed now in an eye-catching A4 size, it offers a wealth of information on filming in 160 different countries and states. Clara says: “We are so pleased with the feedback we have received so far from the new guide - 18 months of hard work has paid off.” Click here for a flip-book sample of the guide and click here to buy it.

The guide may be out, but we’ve been as busy as ever. We were at a party held earlier this month by commercial production company Bare Films to celebrate the opening of their spacious new office in Soho and a few days later we were on the roof terrace of Rushes to check out their new colourist. We were also at the Advertising Producers’ Alliance Show 2010, which was held at the majestic venue of 1 Marylebone and was a terrific chance to catch up with old friends.

Also this month we helped set up a fam trip to Finnish Lapland, which was a big success. Production professionals Antonin Depardieu, Simon Baber, Nicholas Daubeny, Bill Mountain and Oliver Damian spent several days looking at everything the region has to offer, which included a visit to Helsinki. We’ll be running a special report on their experiences in the next few weeks.

Busy times lie ahead as the launch of our new website approaches offering greater user interactivity alongside comprehensive information on global benefits and incentives, as well as our in-depth editorial coverage. All this and the BFI London Film Festival is preparing to take a bow in the capital from 13th October. Have a great month and we hope you like the new guide!
