Georgia plans tax incentives

The Georgian National Film Center (GNFC) has announced plans to introduce a tax incentive later this year.

Speaking in Belgrade, Konstantin Chlaidze, the Director of the GNFC, said he was feeling very positive about the incentive as it has received backing from the higher echelons of the Georgian government.

State support for the country's film industry has risen dramatically over the last few years. Seven features were made last year and three international co-productions were also shot in Georgia in 2008.
