Illinois anounces 30% tax credit for filmmakers

The Illinois General Assembly almost unanimously passed an enhanced film and television production tax credit. The tax incentive has been increased from the 20% of the past three years to a competitively healthy 30%.

The sunset clause has also been removed which is a clear indication that the incentive is working. This puts the State among the best in the highly competitive interstate battle for attracting film and television production.
