Michigan plans USD50 million cap

Michigan legislature is trying to limit the amount available per year for production rebates on films shot in the state.

There is no cap at the moment but an amendment bill was passed last week which could put a USD50 million per year cap on the rebate.

It is unlikely that the new legislation will approved this time round, but it is probable that the amendment will be reintroduced in 2009.
