Germany's DFFF exhausts budget

The German Federal Film Fund (DFFF) has allocated all of the funds available for its incentive programme this year.

48 feature films, 20 documentaries and two animation films will benefit from the EUR61 million annual budget in 2008. This in turn will create a German spend of around EUR261 million. A further 31 productions also applied for support from the programme.

Christine Berg, Project Manager of the German Federal Film Fund, said: "That means that we will have more than exhausted the funds at our disposal for this year. New funding can therefore only be allocated again next year."
