Paris-based production company Wanda have welcomed Julia Gordon to their team as producer. The newest addition will work alongside Claud Fayolle, Olivier Dubocage and Bart de Champsavin. With an initial focus on international advertising film production, today Wanda is a leader in a transmedia content production model, producing tv commercials, music videos, photography, animated films and TV series for channels and streaming platforms.
The inaugural edition of Opening Night: A Taste of Sundance from the non-profit institute will take place on 19 January 2023 in Park City, Utah. The evening will honour Ryan Coogler, W. Kamau Bell and Nikyatu Jusu, and many other inspiring and breakout storytellers who have also had journeys connected to the festival throughout the years. The celebration will also raise funds and awareness for the institute who aim to continue championing upcoming and established creative voices through programmes, grants and other initiatives.
The BFI have announced their backing of 14 more international co-productions through the UK Global screen fund. The awards, financed by the UK Government’s Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), will total to GBP 2.2 million through the fund’s International Co-production strand.

Spain’s Society of Cinematographers (AEC) will celebrate the 5th edition of the MicroSalón AEC audiovisual meeting on 25 and 26 November in Madrid. Supported by Madrid Film Office, director Raúl Torquemada credit their involvement as “part of our support programme for the promotion of Madrid's audiovisual industry and the generation of forums and networking spaces for the sector in the city”. Madrid City Council's filming and audiovisual promotion office will also provide their support.
15 titles have been selected for this year’s International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Films included are festival favourites such as Maha Haj’s Mediterranean Fever and Lav Diaz’s When the Wave are Gone, along with international picks such as Polish Diretor Krzysztof Zanussi’s Perfect Number. Organised by India’s National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), the festival will take place in Panjim, Goa from 20 to 28 November 2022.
