Twelve of the UK’s largest broadcasters have promised to create content that will educate audiences about the ongoing climate crisis. Major figures from the BBC, Channel 4, ITV and Sky were among those committed to telling stories about the climate thanks to a pledge convened by BAFTA organisation albert. The channels and platforms controlled by signees of the Climate Content Pledge represent 70% of British film and television.

The Television Academy has announced that Location Managers are now eligible for either Active or Associate membership. A new Location Managers Subgroup within the Producers’ Peer Group was created on 9 November 2021. Spearheaded by first vice president JJ. Levine and president John Rakich, the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) led the charge for this campaign.

Wirral Council has discovered that the French author Jules Verne set his classic 1874 science fiction novel The Mysterious Island in the English town of Birkenhead. Verne’s artistic legacy shaped the DC and Marvel comic books as well as their contemporary film franchises. The new findings that link Birkenhead to The Mysterious Island imply that the small area lying across Liverpool’s River Mersey may have untapped star potential as a prime movie destination.
