Madam Films partners with Leukaemia UK for their first TV commercial

UK and Menorca based production company MADAM Films has partnered with Leukaemia UK  for their first TV commercial titled Thank You. Created by 11 Agency and directed by Ray Moody, the commercial highlights the effects of charitable giving and raises awareness for the cause. The one day shoot took place on West Whittering beach in the UK with trainees involved on the set sourced from the local area.

Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is set to bring is version of Mary Shelley’s famed character to Netflix, enlisting the help of a star-studded cast. In addition to Oscar Isaac and  scream queen Mia Goth, Netflix revealed today that Jacob Elordi will be joining as Frankenstein’s monster. Del Toro will write and direct the project, as well as producing alongside J. Miles Dale. Filming is set to commence February 2024.

This Christmas, Alice Walker’s novel meets the screen once again, this time in musical form. Filmed in Georgia, United States, the new adaptation will star Taraji P. Henson, Fantasia Barrino-Taylor, Danielle Brooks, H.E.R. and Halle Bailey. Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey return to the story as producer alongside original composer Quincy Jones. The Blitz Bazawule iteration is set for a Christmas Day US release with the UK premiere scheduled for 26 January 2024.

Netflix announced today that Lena Dunham will be bringing new series Too much to the streaming platform. Set against the backdrop of London, the romantic comedy is created by both Dunham and her husband Luis Felber, who will also contribute to the music. Hack’s actress Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe from The White Lotus will star in the series.

The Road Trip, based on the best-selling book by Beth O’Leary, is coming to Paramount+. Directed by China Moo-Young, the series follows the success of O’Leary’s adaptation of The Flatshare. Written and executive produced by Ryan O’Sullivan and Matilda Wnek, both known for their work on Vigil 2, The Road Trip is set for filming in Bristol and Grand Canaria,  for the border crossing adventure. Produced by 42, the series will star Emma Appleton, Laurie Davidson and David Jonsson.
